County.\u00a0 This money will be used for parks and recreation facilities.\u00a0 TAXES GO UP EVERY YEAR ON HOMEOWNERS, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CURRENT BUGETED MONIES?\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MEASURE T<\/strong>, Create bonds of 144 Billion dollars for school facilities\u00a0 in the Bond Projects list which cover computers to plumbing. \u00a0Spending has not improved education especially since per student spending is the highest in the world. \u00a0Eliminate school unions, get govt out of student loans, use vouchers. IF ITS A BOND THEN IT WILL BE PAID BACK BY YOU, FUTURE TAXPAYERS, AND YOUR KIDS.\u00a0\u00a0 LET THEM WORK WITHIN THEIR CURRENT BUDGETS, CUT BACK ON WASTEFUL SPENDING.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MEASURE U, <\/strong>Create bonds of 50 Billion dollars for school facilities\u00a0 in the Bond Projects list which cover computers to plumbing.\u00a0 Not stuttering here this uses the same Bond Projects list as Measure T.\u00a0 IF ITS A BOND THEN IT WILL BE PAID BACK BY YOU, FUTURE TAXPAYERS, AND YOUR KIDS.\u00a0\u00a0 LET THEM WORK WITHIN THEIR CURRENT BUDGETS, CUT BACK ON WASTEFUL SPENDING AND ROYALTY LIKE PENSIONS.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION 1, <\/strong>Creates bonds of 7.12 Billion dollars for Water projects. Re-allocates 425 Million dollars from prior water bond acts.\u00a0 SINCE PRIOR BONDS HAVE NOT BEEN PAID BACK LET GOVERNMENT PUT THE TAXPAYERS ON THE HOOK FOR MORE.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION\u00a02, <\/strong>Increases the yearly budget estimates so the State has justification to spend more money.\u00a0 THE GOVERNMENT MUST CUT TOTAL SPENDING.\u00a0 THE WELFARE, SALARIES, PENSION AND RETIREMENTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL SO GOVERNMENT MUST REDUCE COMMITMENTS AND RENEGOTIATE CONTRACTS INSTEAD OF TAXING THE CITIZENS MORE. <strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION\u00a045, <\/strong>Called the &#8220;Insurance Rate Public Justification and Accountability Act.&#8221;\u00a0 It should be called &#8220;State monopoly over Insurance companies.&#8221; The state wants to control all insurance rates which creates a bribery situation so the state will not lower rates if they get paid off. It removes a companies&#8217; ability to run their business and compete with other insurance company because this law eliminates competition.\u00a0 If monopolies are bad then why will the state have a monopoly on price fixing? \u00a0<strong>VOTE NO!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION\u00a046, <\/strong>Called the &#8220;Troy and Alana Pack Patient Safety Act of 2014&#8221;\u00a0 It should be called &#8220;Penalize all doctors because of the exceptions.&#8221; \u00a0This will raise medical costs because it proposes all doctors be tested when the exceptions that are current hospital policies address.\u00a0 So it is another law to raise medical costs.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION\u00a047, <\/strong>Called the &#8220;Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act&#8221;\u00a0 This reduces penalties&#8217; for non-violent crimes thus reducing prison costs.\u00a0 It creates other problems in the way it distributes money to non prison related uses.\u00a0 25% of the monies will go to schools to reduce truancy, for at risk students or are crime victims.\u00a0 10% of the monies will go to trauma centers for crime victims.\u00a0 65% of the monies will go to corrections to reduce recidivism.\u00a0 Instead of just reducing prison costs they find a way to spend it.\u00a0 We do not have to find a way to waste the money, let&#8217;s just cut the costs of government. \u00a0If they did not find a way to waste the money I would be for it.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE NO!\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROPOSITION\u00a048, <\/strong>This is for Indian Gaming in Madera County.\u00a0 If people want to gamble let them gamble. \u00a0It is not the job of government to regulate people&#8217;s free choices whether they turn out to be self harmful or not.\u00a0 <strong>VOTE YES!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Measure P, T \u00a0 \u00a0 Vote NO<\/p>\n<p>Proposition 1, 2, 45, 46, 47 \u00a0 \u00a0 Vote NO<\/p>\n<p>Proposition 48 \u00a0 \u00a0 Vote YES<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you want to learn more about objectivism visit www.aynrand.org to take free online classes. \u00a0They will help you think.<\/p>\n<p>I am a private citizen who is an Objectivist and have no affiliation to the Ayn Rand Institute.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The voting recommendations written here are Objectivism based to protect individual freedoms primarily and the way to do that is reduce government spending intrusion and control.\u00a0 Measure P, Creates a special tax of $23 per parcel on all real property located in L.A.
